Largo

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 November 2026

The short version: Largo does not collect, store on a server, share or sell any personal data. There is no account, no advertising and no analytics. Everything you set up stays on your phone.

Who we are

Largo (“Largo: Senior Phone Helper”) is an Android home-screen app (a launcher) made for older people and the families who set it up for them. This policy explains what the app does with information. You can contact us at atulpatare99@gmail.com.

Information we collect

None. Largo has no servers that receive your data, and it does not contain advertising, analytics or crash-reporting tools. We cannot see your contacts, calls, photos, calendar or anything else you enter.

Information stored on your phone

To work, Largo keeps your settings in its private storage on your phone. This is never uploaded. It includes:

Removing Largo, or clearing its data in Android settings, deletes all of this. Android’s own backup may include these settings if backup is enabled on your phone; that is controlled by your Google account settings, not by us.

Permissions, and why Largo asks

PermissionWhyIf you say no
Phone calls (CALL_PHONE)So one tap on a person, or the SOS countdown ending, can place a call straight away. Largo does not read your call history or your phone state.Largo opens the dialer with the number filled in, and you press the green button.
Calendar (READ_CALENDAR) optionalOnly to show the titles and times of your coming events on the home screen. Nothing is changed or sent. The events card is simply not shown.
Network stateTo show “Wi-Fi”, “Mobile data” or “No connection” on the home screen. No network traffic is made by Largo. Not asked; this is a normal permission.
VibrateA short buzz on important buttons. Not asked; this is a normal permission.

Largo does not request access to your contacts list, SMS, location, microphone, camera or storage. When you choose a person, Android’s own contact picker gives Largo only the one contact you select. Photos you choose are copied into Largo’s private storage on your phone.

Sharing

We do not share, sell or transfer any data to anyone, because we do not have any. When you tap a button, Largo hands over to another app you already use (for example your phone, messages, WhatsApp or camera). Those apps have their own privacy policies.

Children

Largo is designed for older adults and is not directed at children. It collects no information from anyone.

Free features and optional purchases

All the features described on this site are free. We may in future offer an optional paid Largo Plus for extras (for example, setting up a phone remotely). If that happens, payments would be handled by Google Play, and we would update this policy before any feature that needs an account or sends data. Core features will remain free, and Largo will not show ads.

Emergency use

Largo’s SOS button calls a contact you choose. It is a convenience, not a medical alarm or emergency-response service, and it cannot guarantee that a call will connect. In a life-threatening emergency, dial your local emergency number (such as 112 or 911) directly.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app’s Google Play release notes.
